Deepening, expanding and tuning up your tone is one of the greatest joys of playing the harp and best ways to improve your musicianship whatever style of music you are playing.

In this course with world renowned harpist and master teacher Cheryl Ann Fulton you will:

• Learn the specific anatomy and use of your hands and arms that you must understand in order to have a healthy, sustainable, relaxed as well as powerful, deep, nuanced harp tone.

• Understand and begin to experience the Harp Secrets Cheryl calls “fluid placement,”  MMMI (movement matches musical intention),  “resonant breath on the the harp strings,” “The Wave” and more.

• Learn exercises that allow you to to improve your harp playing as well as create small, doable but potent acts of beauty you can use to create a calm, serene space for yourself and whoever you are playing for.

Cheryl will help you identify habits that get in the way of the natural energy flow of your body when playing the harp.  You will experience playing with your whole body - physical and energetic - tuning and toning yourself not just playing from your fingers on the strings.

As harpists creating a musical, rich harp tone we are both athletes and artists.  We cannot bypass our bodies and play from our minds and thoughts but we also are not just going to the gym!  Connecting sound and sensation we play from our inner music with movement inspired by musical intention .

Join Cheryl and a cohort of harmonious harpists as we support

and enjoy each other in our quest to Tune Up Our Harp Tone!
